After leaving Service went back to School and graduated from York College of Pa. - BS Business Management, then pursued a carrier in the Printing Industry - specializing in Book and Commercial Printing- 39 years still employed in this industry.

American Legion Post 5 - Held the office of Chaplain, 2nd Vice Commander, currently Post Commander Membership Status-Paid Up for Life Member since 2002.

Vision in the future is to continue to preserve the history and tradition of Post 5, recruit new veteran members and grow the various programs to eventually build and move to a larger facility thereby having the capability and where with all to better service the Veterans and their families needs.

Pat Richardson:
         Military Service: Joined US Navy Reserve in September, 1954 to June, 1956 Active Reserve. Went on active duty in July, 1956 thru July, 1958. During that period of time I was stationed on the USS Ticonic AGC 17 of which I attained the rank of 3rd Class Signalman. I continued on In-active Reserve until June 21, 1962, then received an honorable discharge June, 1962.
          Married in September, 1958 had three children living in Monkton, Maryland. Had several jobs before I settled as an Insurance Salesman in 1965 for Wausau Insurance Company. Divorced in 1970. Remarried November, 1973 to Nancy. Started my own Insurance business in 1974 and moved to Rehoboth Beach, DE in September, 2001. Retired from full time sales in 2005 but still involved with insurance part-time.           Joined Post 5 within months of moving to the beach. In June, 2003 I became Adjutant and held that post for three years and in June, 2007 I became Commander and held that position from June 2007 thru May, 2009. Currently I am a Trustee for Post 5.
